In these pages, you will follow the journey of a young boy from Ghana who, with his family of ten, left behind everything familiar for the unknowns of America. Through his eyes, you’ll experience the challenges of adapting to a foreign land, the cultural clashes, and the strength that emerges when family bonds are tested.
This book was born from a deep personal connection to the immigrant experience, from the stories and struggles passed down through generations. Like many who’ve undertaken such journeys, the protagonist’s story reflects the universal themes of hope, survival, and the quest for belonging.
Across the Atlantic is written for anyone who has experienced a major life transition, who has sought to bridge the gap between two worlds, or who is curious about the heart and soul of the immigrant experience. Each chapter reveals the triumphs and setbacks, the moments of doubt and clarity, that define the search for identity in a new land.
