Artist’s Statement: My oil paintings and photography have been seen in galleries, art shows and businesses throughout New England. Retiring from a health care career afforded me the ability to pursue my passion in oil painting. I love the richness of the colors and the different textures of paint on my canvas. When COVID kept most people homebound, I started making sock gnomes to give to family members and friends. Gnomes are believed to be symbols of good luck and protectors of home and family. These sock gnomes inspired me to paint a series of gnomes in different settings.
