SUMMARY:Call to Artists-Winter Palette Group Show
DESCRIPTION:We are looking for local artists to display and sell their work through the month of February! Bring in your original artwork depicting the theme of winter\, either literally or figuratively\, in any media including photography\, painting\, drawing\, collage\, fabric\, mixed media\, etc. \nDrop off dates: Friday\, February 1st\, 10-6:30 or Saturday\, February 2nd\, 10-5 \nWork will be on display February 5-28\, 2019. \nA meet the artists reception will take place on Saturday\, February 9th\, 2-4 p.m. All artists\, family\, friends and the public are invited to attend. \nRequirements: All work must be framed or ready to hang\, preferably with a wire\, and must be no larger than 16″X20″ including any framing or matting. Artists may bring up to 2 pieces for consideration. Due to space limitations\, not all work may be hung. There is no submission fee\, however a 25% commission will be taken on any sales during the month. Pricing is at the sole discretion of the artist. \nPick up work at end of show on Thursday\, February 28th or Friday\, March 1st between 10am & 6:30 pm \nFeel free to share with other local artists who may be interested! \nFor questions please email deb@bookloversgourmet.com

The Klaus Series was created in memory of the authors 120-pound\, gentle-spirited Rottweiler name Klaus who was always sure to have a snow-covered nose on a snowy winters day. \nAbout the book: Teach your kids how animals stay warm in the winter in a fun and interesting way! Take a stroll with Klaus the dog through a charming New England neighborhood and meet some of his friends along the way. On this adventure\, you will discover\, alongside Klaus\, how Sally Squirrel\, Billy the Eastern Bluebird\, and Freddie Frog survive the cold and snowy winter months. Have fun while learning about migration and hibernation on this fascinating autumn morning walk. \nAbout the author: Denises love of books and for animals have merged together to create a childrens book series that entertains as it educates. She serves on a volunteer committee for Friends of the Providence Animal Care & Control Center\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization\, dedicated to supporting the animals in the city of Providence. Denise is a member of the Association of Rhode Island Authors. She lives in Southern New England with her husband Ernie and their sweet\, rescue dog\, Jax.
