Signed copies will be available for purchase. \nFor more information or to RSVP\, call 508-949-6232 or email deb@bookloversgourmet.com. \n  \nAbout the book: How can nurses take care of patients and have fun at work? Do you believe that being a nurse isn’t fun?         \nNurses are resilient and dedicated caregivers\, but they don’t lack a sense of humor. Nurses provide excellent care to their patients while exercising the remarkable ability to laugh at absurd or shocking situations. \nAnn Watt’s nursing sequel will persuade you to look at this caring profession through her eyes. A critical care nurse of over thirty years\, Ann has the experience to back up her statements. She learned the importance of humor while at work\, and she passes her memorable stories on to readers. \nDelve into a night shift nurse’s career and the surprises it contained. You will be engrossed in the extraordinary situations Ann encountered. Determine for yourself if being a nurse was ever fun. \n  \nAbout the author: Raised in South Deerfield\, Massachusetts\, Ann pursued a career as a nurse and graduated from Fitchburg State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She primarily worked in ICUs for thirty-two years. Showing dedication to her area of expertise\, she earned both her adult critical care RN and cardiac surgery specialty certificates. \nSeeking challenges outside of the workplace\, she obtained her private and commercial pilot licenses\, in both single and multiengine airplanes. \nPresently keeping her feet on the ground\, she travels\, hikes\, and climbs mountains whenever possible. She conquered all forty-eight summits in the White Mountains of New Hampshire that are above four thousand feet in elevation. Photography\, birding\, and cooking are her other favorite hobbies. \nHer debut memoir\, When Being a Nurse Was Fun: Tales from My Life as a Nurse was published in 2023. She wrote a short story titled “The Longest Journey.” It was included in Rhode Trip\, an anthology that was produced by the Association of Rhode Island Authors. Believe in God\, Not Coincidence was published in 2024. Her most recent book\, The Anguish of Alzheimer’s: The Years of Mom’s Dementia was published in 2024. A nursing sequel\, When Being a Nurse Was Fun: Volume II was published in 2025. \nAnn lives in Rhode Island with her husband\, Wayne\, and their rescue dog.  \nMore information about Ann may be found on her website: http://www.annwattauthor.com

SUMMARY:Across the Atlantic: A Boy’s Journey from Ghana to America Book Launch
DESCRIPTION:Join us in welcoming Kwasi Acheampong\, author of Across the Atlantic: A Boy’s Journey from Ghana to America. Each chapter reveals the triumphs and setbacks\, the moments of doubt and clarity\, that define the search for identity in a new land.\nKwasi Acheampong was born in Ghana\, West Africa and moved to the United States of America at the age of 10. His journey\, shaped by the challenges and opportunities of immigration\, deeply influences his storytelling and fuels his commitment to empowering others.\n \nKwasi is the founder of Our Bright Future\, a STEAM-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing innovative programs such as Robotics\, 3D Printing\, Bioscience\, Cricut Club\, and sports to local students. As the Executive Director of Our Bright Future\, Kwasi is passionate about equipping young minds with the tools and skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.\nA devoted husband to his beloved wife\, Scarlett Acheampong\, Kwasi is also the proud father of three amazing children—Leon\, Kyrie\, and Nova Acheampong. Physics tells us that we are existing in two places at once and we blink in and out of those places. Where do we go when we dream? Maybe it’s to this place\, the place of pure color. In any case\, I wanted to capture the place that I personally go to when I paint a piece. I let my spirit linger between Consciousness and subconsciousness. It is my Technicolor Daydream – an exhibition of colorful abstract expressionist paintings.”
